Deanna Lyn Lewis, Principal
About Me Welcome! I'm a Renaissance person with an open and diverse mind coupled with an extensive background in numerous fields; driven by a passion for lifelong learning, addressing complex issues, and generating problem-based and innovative solutions. The domains of my expertise lie in: public health, healthcare, solar energy, transdisciplinary education and training, trauma-informed and inclusive practices, and professional development from frontline workers to leadership teams. I completed my physician assistant studies at Stanford University Medical School, earned my Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) from the University of Arizona's Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, served six years in the Navy Reserve as a Hospital Corpsman, and currently work two-days a week in clinic and have been seeing patients for the past 20 years. Alongside my medical and public health qualifications, I hold an executive MBA from the University of Arizona's Eller School of Management. My career journey includes a unique blend of experiences. I served 20 years in the fire service, two years as a NASA Space Grant Fellow in Photovoltaic Outreach & Education, studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, China, and achieved certifications as a PADI SCUBA dive instructor and a yoga instructor. As a clinician, educator, and researcher, I have worked with international NGO's in Costa Rica, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and Thailand. These diverse experiences have equipped me with a broad perspective and the ability to adapt, embrace change, integrate numerous disciplines and navigate a variety of sectors to provide comprehensive and culturally responsive services. As a consultant, I bring this wealth of knowledge and experience to help organizations and individuals thrive. Whether you're looking to develop strategic initiatives, enhance professional development programs, or implement effective public health and health care solutions, I'm interested in meeting you and your constituents and having conversations to co-create sustainable and tailored solutions for your unique set of circumstances. Beyond my professional pursuits, I thrive in the great outdoors. I'm an avid mountain biker, hiker, kayaker, traveler, gardener, and soap maker. Locally, you’ll often find me exploring places like Painted Hills Trail, Silverbell Lake, Tumamoc Hill, Pena Blanca Lake, Rocky Point, in my back yard watering the garden, or in the kitchen making a batch of some amazing soap or fresh guacamole!
