Dr. Deanna Lewis is a Renaissance woman. With a wealth of experience and through a Transdisciplinary (TD) approach she specializes in advanced/higher education, executive trainings, strategic analysis, and programmatic development across all sectors, transforming complex societal challenges into opportunities for growth and development. Deanna has dedicated 20 years of service to her community as a first responder, served 6 years as a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy Reserve, and for the past 20 years she has been as a practicing physician assistant and consultant. She is the visionary behind the Dequenesh Community Clinic. Dr. Lewis created a space where mobilizing the delivery of direct patient care met community members where they were at, partnering with numerous non-profit organizations to meet the healthcare needs of local and global constituents. Deanna, a graduate of the University of Arizona's Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, holds a Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH). In addition to her public health and medical expertise, Dr. Lewis is a lifelong learner. She completed her MBA at the U of A Eller School of Management, spent two years as a U of A/NASA Space Grant Fellow for Photovoltaic Outreach & Education, and is a certified yoga instructor. Beyond her professional pursuits, Deanna thrives in the great outdoors. An avid mountain biker, hiker, kayaker, gardener, and soap maker. You’ll often find her exploring places like Painted Hills Trail, Tumamoc Hill, Pena Blanc Lake, Rocky Point, in her back yard watering the garden, or in the kitchen making a batch of some amazing soap!
