Deanna Lewis  is a Renaissance woman.  A graduate from the Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, Deanna hold's a Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH). As a graduate of Stanford’s Primary Care Associate Program in physician assistant studies, her emphasis in healthcare  has always been working with medically under-served patient populations, with the goal of increasing access to health and wellness services and optimizing quality of life. 

She is the founder of Dequenesh Community Clinic and has been a practicing physician assistant for 17 years. She completed her MBA at the U of A Eller School of Management, and two years as a U of A/NASA Space Grant Fellow  for Photovoltaic Outreach & Education.

Her interest lies in the domain of Complex Problem Solving (CPS)  using a Systems Thinking Approach to optimize outcomes.  Her summers are spent in Africa and Central America working on pressing issues such as
sustainable and human development. Her most recent endeavor explores relationships through community-campus connections: the c4 concept: c4 | Center4CommunityCampusConnections, emphasizes the significance of and the cultivation of social connections to improve quality of life.

​She's an avid hiker and you can often find her in Pima Canyon, Ventana Canyon, and/or
 Tumamoc Hill, on any given day of the week.  As an aside she's a pretty good soap maker and does a darn good job as an amateur mixologist.
